Northern and Southern Cooks Weather Bulletin issued from NWFC Nadi Nov 190304 UTC. A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AND WATERS OF SOUTHERN COOKS. A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR OPEN WATERS OF SOUTHERN COOKS. Situation: A fresh to strong easterly wind flow prevails over Southern Cooks. A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers continues to affect parts of Northern Cooks. Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Southern Cooks: Over Land and Waters: Easterly winds 20 to 30 knots. Rough to very rough seas. Damaging heavy southerly swells with wave heights up to 4.5 meters and wave period of 14s. Possible Impact: Risk of breaking waves over open waters and rip current reaching low lying coastal areas with possibility of small crafts/boat capsizing. Cloudy periods with brief showers. Further outlook: Cloudy periods with brief showers. For Rarotonga: Over Land and Waters: Easterly winds 20 to 30 knots. Rough to very rough seas.
