Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the northeast
and continues to drift towards the group. Another trough of low
pressure is expected to gradually approach the group from the west
later Sunday. Associated cloud and showers are expected to affect
the country from later Sunday till the next few days. Meanwhile, an
easterly wind flow prevails over the group.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Occasional showers over Northern Division, Yasawa group, Lomaiviti
and Lau groups.
Cloudy periods with some showers over Coral Coast-Serua -Namosi,
Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu areas, interior Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri,
Ra-Rakiraki.
Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.
Afternoon or evening thunderstorms and isolated heavy falls expected.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Showers becoming frequent from later Sunday.
Moderate to fresh easterly winds.
Moderate to rough seas.
Outlook for Monday : Occasional showers over most palces.
